In this article, we will go through what RICOH Spaces displays are, their use cases and which vendors we recommend and support.
RICOH Spaces Displays
The term refers to the RICOH Smart Displays and RICOH Room Display apps. They enable RICOH Spaces to be used on iOS and Android devices.
Visitor Management: the RICOH Smart Displays app
Wayfinder: the RICOH Smart Displays app
Meeting rooms: RICOH Room Display app
Note: Logitech Tap Schedulers are currently not supported on the RICOH Room Display app, and use the RICOH Smart Displays app for room booking.
What is the RICOH Smart Displays app?
Smart Displays is an application developed by the RICOH Spaces team, designed to be installed on both Android and Apple iPads. It supports modules such as Visitor Management, Meeting Room Screen (Logitech Tap Scheduler Only), and Interactive Wayfinder, providing a seamless, integrated experience across web, mobile, and smart displays. This ensures that users can efficiently manage and navigate their spaces with consistent and synchronised information across all platforms.

What is the RICOH Room Display app?
The app, available for Android and iOS devices, enables the new meeting room booking experience.
Type of screens
Meeting Room Screen
A Meeting Room Screen is installed outside of a meeting room. It is an interactive screen enabling users to view the room's availability, book, cancel, and check in/out of meetings.
Logitech Tap Schedulers have LED lights that show green when the room is available or red if the room is booked or occupied.

Visitor Display
An interactive screen designed for use by both visitors and employees, allowing for easy sign-in and streamlined visitor management.
Visitors can:
Fill in questionnaire ( if enabled)
Play media and open files (as part of your questionnaire)
Sign in using the PIN received in the email invite
Scan a QR code to sign in using their mobile device
Have their picture taken and printed (label printer)
Please note that Qbic and Logitech panels will have green LED lights when used as a Visitor Panel. If you do not want these lights, we suggest using an iPad instead.
Interactive Wayfinder
The RICOH Spaces Interactive Wayfinder is a display of your live Floorplan(s) and availability. Thanks to its interactivity, users can use the screen to navigate through your office, across floor plans, filter, search, book and cancel spaces.
Devices we support
We recommend the following hardware:
QBIC [Visitor Display on RICOH Smart Displays and Meeting Room Screen on RICOH Room Display]
Logitech Tap Scheduler [Meeting Room Screen on RICOH Smart Displays]
iPad [Visitor Display on RICOH Smart Displays and Meeting Room Screen on RICOH Room Display]
Interactive White Board - A series Pine D2 device [Wayfinder]
This article provides a comparison of the features of each panel.
You can also source your own Android/iPad panel and configure this yourself, as the RICOH Smart displays app may work on other devices. But they are untested and would not be commissioned, managed or supported by RICOH.
For an Interactive Wayfinder, we also recommend using a QBIC BXP-320 Box PC with a large interactive screen (your Ricoh account manager can discuss options with you).
Are there minimum requirements for devices?
Yes. The device model will be dictated by the OS version compatibility.
The latest requirements for Smart Displays are iOS 14.0 and Android 7.0. For Apple devices that is iPad Air 2, iPad Air 3rd Generation, iPad 5th Generation and iPad Mini 4 and later. All iPad Pro models are supported.
*For example, both iPadOS 13 and iOS 13 drop support for devices with less than 2 GB of RAM.
