This article explains how to connect your Qbic BXP-320 Box PC to your interactive screen to use as a RICOH Spaces Interactive Wayfinder.

Pre-requisites

Screen Connectivity

The BXP-320 needs 2 connections to your interactive screen:

  • HDMI

Use an HDMI cable to carry the image from the BXP-320 to one of the HDMI inputs on your screen. Make sure your screen has the relevant Input source selected to be able to view the image from the BXP-320.

  • Touch Input

Many screens use a USB-B output for the touch screen signal. Use a USB-B to USB-A cable to carry the touch input from the screen to the BXP-320. Alternatively use a USB-C to USB-C cable (if your screen supports this).

Internet Connectivity

Connect your BXP-320 to the Internet using either a LAN cable or WiFi. Regardless of whether you use an ethernet or WiFi connection please ensure these network settings have been made.

Smart Displays Software

If you purchase a Smart Display from RICOH, the panel will come pre-installed with our RICOH Spaces Smart Displays application.

If you have provided your own Smart Display panel you will need to ensure that the Smart Displays software has been installed.

Remote Management Software

If you purchase a Qbic Smart Display from RICOH, the panel will come pre-installed with software to allow remote management of your device. This allows us to troubleshoot issues, update software, and schedule tasks like daily reboots, all from a remote location.

Currently, if you provide your own Smart Displays panels, remote management by Ricoh is not available.
