In this article, we will show you how, as an admin, you can manage scheduled closures for selected spaces.

You may be doing some refurbishments, renovations, host events, for which some spaces need to be unavailable for a defined period of time. Instead of manually deactivating the relevant spaces and having to re-enable them later on, you can now schedule closures for selected spaces during a defined period of time.

1. Head to the location for which you want to schedule the closure.

2. Head to the Spaces section.

3. Click on the Edit button of the relevant space.

4. Enable the toggle "Scheduled Closure".

5. Select a start and end date.

6. Save and confirm the scheduled closure.

3. Select all spaces you want to include in your scheduled closure.

💡 Tip: They can be across floors and zones.

4. Click on the Schedule Closure button in the bottom menu.

5. Select a start and end date and click "Apply closure to X Spaces".

You can update the start and end date of a scheduled closure.

1. Head to the location and find the space/s for which you have scheduled a closure. 2. Use the bottom menu "Closure Schedule" to update the start and/or ending dates.

3. Confirm.

3. Select "Remove Scheduled Closure" and confirm.

What happens to bookings made for that period of time?

The bookings will be cancelled, and the user will be made aware that their space booking has been cancelled.

What will the user see when they try to book a space during the scheduled closure?

They won't be able to book spaces included in the scheduled closure. They can book those spaces on alternative dates.

Can I create multiple space closures for different dates?

Yes!

Can I schedule multiple closures for the same space?

No, you can only set one closure at a time per space.

Can I schedule a closure for room spaces?

Not at the moment.

What will happen to my insight reports?

Insights take into account spaces that have used maintenance windows to ensure accuracy of reporting.
