In this article, we will introduce you to linked Spaces and how you can create and manage them on web.
Note: You must be a Global or Location Admin to create a linked space.
What's a Linked Space?
A linked room is one bookable space which contains multiple rooms together. This allows users to book a larger space and accommodate more people.
For example, if you have two rooms that are next to one another and are partitioned by a movable wall, you can create a "Linked Room". Users can book the individual spaces but also the bigger space when all the individual rooms come together.
How to create a linked space
1. Head to the organisation settings tab.
2. Select the location where you want to create a linked space.
3. Within the location, head to the Spaces section.
4. Click on Create Space.
5. Give the space a name and select Linked Space. Click on Create Space.
6. Find the newly created space in the list of spaces and click on edit.
7. Once within the space, you can then complete details about the space such as capacity, or adding an image of the room.
Add the rooms that are combined to create this linked space. When a user will book this linked room, the rooms making up this space will be unavailable.
Note: A layout must be added to the linked space. The user will have to request a layout when submitting their linked room booking.
8. Don't forget to hit Save.
