This October, we are bringing you a brand new feature: Assigned Rooms.
Let us tell you more about it! 👇
What are assigned rooms?
RICOH Spaces already gave the option to assign some spaces to specific users. Those could be desks or parking spaces that are reserved and only bookable by certain people. We are bringing this functionality to meeting rooms.
For example, your office might have a boardroom that can be used only by specific employees. Instead of having to cancel bookings or make the room completely un-bookable or disabled, admins can now restrict access to it.
How does it work?
Admins will assign the room to a specific list of users so that only they can view the room as available and go on to book.
Once an approved user requests the room, it will notify a list of users who can approve/reject the booking.
You can find out how to configure this here.
What about users who are not assigned to the room?
Users not on the “assigned” list will not be able to go through the booking process.
Users who have not been assigned to spaces can filter the room lists on the Floorplan and mobile to display only the rooms they can access.
