In this article, we will show you how you can create and manage visitor types at an organisational level.
💡 You need to be a Global or Visitor administrator to access this area.
What's a visitor type?
Visitor types enable you to tailor your visitors' experience according to their role. Whether they are a subcontractor, a partner or more, for each type of visitor you create, you will be able to customise their experience at a local level.
This new functionality offers an efficient way to distinguish between visitor types, configure different experiences for them, or report on them separately.
Create a new Visitor Type
1. Head to Organisation Settings and navigate to Visitor Types.
2. In the section, click on 'Create Visitor Type'.
3. Name your Visitor Type and click create.
4. Once created, the visitor type will appear on the list. Locations will have the new visitor type as an option and can enable it.
Manage Visitor Types
You can delete or edit visitor types from the Visitor Types section.
To do so, simply click on 'Edit' to update the name or the bin icon to delete the visitor type.
Note: You won't be able to delete a visitor type if a location has enabled and configured it.
