Occupancy Intelligence Report

Whilst the Occupancy Intelligence Forecast Report focuses on predicting occupancy from your existing data, the Occupancy Intelligence Report is all about understanding how your building was used at a selected period.

In this article, learn all about the metrics and how they help you understand your occupancy.

Filters

Metrics

Location Overview

  • Average occupancy for Desks

Average Occupancy for desks is the combined occupancy rate for all desk spaces at a location over the specified time period.

occupancy rate = occupied hours / available hours*

*available hours per day are the hours in a working day ( or whole day if selected 'No' in the 'Is Office Hours' Filter)

  • Average Occupancy for Meeting Rooms

Average Occupancy for meeting rooms is the combined occupancy rate for all room spaces at a location over the specified time period.

occupancy rate = occupied hours / available hours*

*available hours per day are the hours in a working day ( or whole day if selected 'No' in the 'Is Office Hours' Filter)

  • Average Available Meeting Rooms

The average number of available room spaces in the specified time period.

  • Average Available Desks

The average number of available desk spaces in the specified time period.

  • Average Occupancy by Location

This provides you with the average occupancy ( in per cent) for the selected location. In this example, our office is only occupied 12% of its available time.

  • Location Occupancy by Day

This graph shows your occupancy by day of the week. It provides you with an average number of people, the highest count of people registered and average occupancy per day.

  • Location Occupancy by Hour of Day

This graph, similar to the previous one, focuses on the hours of the day.

Floor Occupancy

  • Average Floor Occupancy By Space Type

This provides you with the average occupancy ( in per cent) of your spaces by type, for your floors.

  • Average Floor Occupancy

This graph breaks down the type of occupancy on your floor. In this example, most of the time, the floor is unoccupied and not booked. 11% of the Floor was occupied but not booked and 3% had been booked but was unoccupied.

Passive means that the sensor cannot detect a person in the room, but it can detect "signs of life" such as a bag on the floor, meaning that the room is still in use.

Zone Occupancy

  • Zone Occupancy by Hour of Day

This metric displays the occupancy of your zones by hour of the day.

  • Average Zone Occupancy

Similar to the previous graph, this one focuses on the type of occupancy per zone.

Meeting Room Occupancy

  • Meeting Attendance Breakdown

In this pie chart, you can observe the attendance of meetings.

  • Average Meeting Room Occupancy

This graph focuses on the occupancy of your meeting rooms.

  • Average Meeting Room Occupancy by Hour of Day

The graph breaks down the occupancy of your meeting rooms by hour of the day.

  • Meeting Attendance Breakdown Table

In this chart, you can see a breakdown of meeting rooms' attendance. This only considers meeting room bookings ( and not unplanned meetings).

Space Occupancy

  • Space Occupancy Summary

This table provides you with a breakdown of all your spaces and their occupancy.
