RICOH Spaces has an Outlook add-in that can be used when booking meeting rooms within Outlook.

Technical considerations

Due to the vast number of versions and variations of Microsoft Outlook, there are limitations to when the RICOH Spaces Add-in will work. We are working on the further backwards capability to address the issues.

You will need to ensure that users have Outlook 16+ and Microsoft Edge (for Windows users) before the RICOH Spaces Add-in will function correctly. If the configuration isn't valid users will likely see a blank white screen. This does not apply to office.outlook.com as the RICOH Spaces add-in is fully supported.

There is a comprehensive guide from Microsoft that explains the requirements here.

SSO

If your user's login process via Microsoft includes a redirect URL such as ADFS then we will have to add the URL to our add-in before it can be used. This is a security measure Microsoft has put in place that we're unable to bypass without alternative login methods. Please contact [email protected] with your redirect URL and we will resolve the issue for you.

Add-in rollout

Users can sideload the add-in if permitted and there is a guide available here. You most likely want to install the add-in for all users, please see this guide from Microsoft on how to do this. You can download the RICOH Spaces Manifest at https://ricohsmartspaces.page.link/outlook-addin.

Note: Our add-in is not currently in the store but we're working with Microsoft to resolve this

Our add-in is supported on

  • Windows

  • Mac

  • Office.com

You can see more in our user guides.
