Companies can set up the NFC functionality and enable employees to check in/out easily from their spaces. Check-ins enable the users to confirm they have arrived in the office and prevent their bookings from cancelling by checking them into their spaces. Reasons behind a check-out could be Health & Safety compliance, or freeing up spaces in order to reach maximum capacity effectively. For example, when going out for lunch, users can use their NFC cards (any other compatible item) on visitor displays. They will either confirm a “temporary” or “permanent” checkout.

What is a temporary/ permanent check-out?

Temporary: the user is checking out of his desk for a short period of time. The user will show as offsite in key insight reports such as the Booking Occupancy and Emergency List, but the user's space is not released.

Permanent: the desk booking is released and it is available again for another user to book.

Who can use it?

This functionality can be used by staff members and visitors.

3. There are 2 cases:

You haven't checked in yet:

If the 'In office' status is enabled at the location:

    - You have a desk booked = check into your desk

    - You don't have a desk booked = In office status & check you into the location

If the 'In office' status is disabled at the location:

    - You have a desk booked = check into your desk

    - You don't have a desk booked = it will ask you to make a booking and try again.

If you have checked in, you will be able to temporarily check out or release the booking.

Select the option you wish to go for.
