In this article, we are going to detail the following:
What is a Linked Room?
The RICOH Spaces Web App has introduced the ability to book a Linked Room. A Linked Room is more than one space linked together to create a larger space which is bookable.
An example of a Linked Room?
An example of where Linked Rooms can be used is if two spaces are next to one another but are partitioned by a movable screen. A business admin can create a new bookable room which allows users to book the larger space and cater for more events.
Booking a Linked Room
1. A Linked Room is symbolised with a link sign, which can be seen highlighted in the below example
2. Select your desired slot and fill in the mandatory fields
3. You may add other available layouts to your booking if you require. If you do not choose a layout, a default layout will be applied.
4. Create your event
Approval Rooms
In some cases, an approval process must be completed before the event can be scheduled.
Approvals are carried out by your admins. If your room requires approval, you will see the below message.
Awaiting Approval
If your event does not require approval, your event will be created
Event created
Please contact your admin if you have any approval queries.
Once your booking is created, it will appear in the schedule view. The Linked Room with the individual Linked Rooms will be greyed out and the Setup and Reset times will be applied on either side of the meeting. This ensures your room is set up as expected ahead of your meeting.
