When booking desks, your employees are booking a slot. Administrators can customise these slots for greater control.
Warning: When the booking slot option is changed (unless it is from single slot to am/pm), all future bookings for the affected workspaces are automatically cancelled. This is because it is not possible to remap the bookings to the new slot option selected. Each user with a booking will be notified by email that their bookings have been cancelled and prompt them to remake the bookings if still required. Historic bookings will not be removed but will no longer be visible through the app
By default, desks have a single slot which consists of;
- A start time
- An end time
- The time the employee must check-in
There are three modes for booking slots
Single Slot | One slot with a single start and end time |
AM/PM Slots | An in-built template to split a desk into morning & afternoon bookings; there is also a slot for all-day |
Custom Slots | The ability for you to completely customise the number of slots and the names of the slots |
Changing slot templates
Changing booking slot templates can have an effect on future bookings. Please ensure that you select the correct slot configuration before saving.
Moving from single slot to multiple slots
When moving from a single slot to AM/PM, RICOH Spaces will count all current future bookings as all-day bookings.
Moving from AM/PM to a single slot
If bookings have been made within AM/PM booking mode and you switch back to a single slot mode bookings may be lost during the transition.
