You can assign desks in two ways;
- Utilising our powerful zone assignment to manage multiple desks
- Assigning desks individually to people or groups
Using zones to assign desks
When assigning multiple desks, zone assignment is the best option.
Navigate from the homepage to Organisation Settings, Locations and select the Building Location Image where you want to apply this setting. Proceed to select Zones from the list of options available.
Find the zone you wish to assign and hit the edit button. If you don't have any zones yet, check out our zone guide. Zone Guide
You can now assign groups or people to this zone and manage the days the assignment applies.
Assign a desk
Navigate from the homepage to Organisation Settings, Locations and select the Building Location Image where you want to apply this policy. Proceed to select Spaces from the list of options available.
Find the Desk no that you want to assign, and click the Edit button on the corresponding line. This will launch the Space details screen from were Assigned to can be selected.
You can now choose specific people and/or groups that can use this desk.
There is no limit to the number of people the desk can be assigned to.
Note: If the desk is within a zone with assignment rules, RICOH Spaces will apply the zone rules first, and then RICOH Spaces will apply the desk rules.
As users/groups are selected (through the Assign) button, their names are collated at the bottom of the screen. Click Assign to complete the action.
A summary of the DESK assignees is presented as confirmation. Click Save to enable this policy.
